Persistent Night Sweats

Condition: A 56-year-old post-menopausal woman came to Naturopathic Solutions complaining that she had been suffering from persistent night sweats caused by low progesterone and DHEA (hormone) levels.

Outcome: Within two weeks of beginning bioidentical hormone therapy, the patient reported that her night sweats had been reduced by 50 percent; after another four weeks she no longer experienced night sweats at all. Her ongoing health program includes recommended nutritional changes in addition to bioidentical hormone therapy.

Low Energy

Condition: An overweight 37-year-old male came to Naturopathic Solutions in a condition of general malaise, carrying tests results that showed that he had unhealthy, high levels of fasting insulin, triglycerides, uric acid, liver enzymes and glucose, and his blood work was indicative of diabetes.

Outcome: After discussing his medical history and assessing the test results, Dr. Stills recommended several dietary changes and specific nutritional supplements designed to support sugar metabolism and control cholesterol levels. The patient was also taught the reasons why soda should be eliminated from his diet and why the increased consumption of certain vegetables could be beneficial. After three months of modifying his diet and taking specific nutritional supplements, the patient lost 15 lbs, his liver enzymes, glucose and uric acid levels were back within normal range, his triglycerides reduced from 626 to 205, and his insulin was down from 22 to 7.

 Pancreatic Cancer

Condition: A 70-year-old male had undergone unsuccessful Whipple surgery for pancreatic cancer, and still suffered from the affliction.
